Tabs Studio v4.6.0 released:

Tabs Studio Blog (organizing Visual Studio document tabs) 
is there a way to shorten the text within the tab? I like having the tabs vertical, but with a really long server name, it has the X close button on the tab off screen. Some way to have it shorten the text with maybe a “SQLQuery2.sql – myserver…” would be super useful for me

You can shorten tab text with a custom Title grouping regex or built in SSMS tab text options https://blog.tabsstudio.com/2010/01/02/tab-text-options-in-ssms/
